There are certain things in everybody’s home that are so hard to clean. Most people hire professional help to do the tough cleaning. Although that is one very good option, we can give you some ideas on what else you can do to tackle the cleaning yourself.
Vents
We all know how dusty the vents can get. It is very difficult to clean them as the space between the grills is very small. If you want to effectively remove all of the dust, use a knife and cloth dipped in vinegar. Wrap the cloth around the knife and you will have great cleaning equipment. Gently wipe the grills one by one and the result will be amazing.
Horizontal blinds
To clean the horizontal blinds without damaging your hands on the sharp edges, you should put a sock on your hand that has been previously dipped in equal parts of water and vinegar. The combination is the best cleaning product that neutralizers bad odors too.
Burnt pans
If you want to effectively clean your burnt pan, you need to put enough water in it to cover the bottom. Add white vinegar to it and bring the mixture to boil and add two table spoons of soda. Leave it to boil like that for a minute and then throw the liquid away. Scrub the pan and you will easily see its shiny bottom again. The beauty of using this technique is that you don’t damage the bottom of the pans by scrubbing for hours as the dirt will easily lift with gentle scrubbing.
Washing machine
The washing machine needs to be cleaned regularly so it works properly and lasts a long time. It is never an easy task and that is why it is good to know some simple but very effective tricks. Mix in a bowl ¼ cup of water with ¼ cup of soda. Pour the mixture in the washing powder department of the washing machine. Pour 2 cups of vinegar in the drum and press start. Choose the washing option with the hottest temperature. After the cycle is finished, clean the rubber seal and you are done. You will have shiny and fresh washing machine.
Oven
In most households the oven gets used on regular basis. If it is not cleaned after every meal, it can get quite dirty. There are many products on the market that can make it shiny again however, most of them can be quite harmful to your health. The best way to get rid of dirt and unpleasant odor is again the combination of soda, water and vinegar. The soda and water will make the oven shiny and the vinegar will neutralize any smells. If you have to use strong chemicals, then make sure to use vinegar to wipe it over so you get rid of any strong odors.
Regular cleaning is the key to a spotless home. The home remedies have always been the preferred choice of many households. If you keep on top of everything, the cleaning process should take no more than a couple of hours a week. Sounds great, right?
